ROBIN KOERTS
Robin Koerst started playing bass at the age of fourteen and mastered the art of bassplaying by listening intently to his heroes. At this moment he mainly performs with his own Bass Loop Project and with the Rotterdam Nu Jazz band: State of Monc. He also produces audio and video remixes and compiles the DWDD Soundbites, a weekly category of the popular Dutch TV program ‘De Wereld Draait Door’.

His sound varies from house to classical flute orchestras and from jazz to heavy metal; And he has cooperated with artists like: Marius Preda (Romania), Niladri Kumar (India), Bass/Rap with Andy "Stewlocks" Ninvalle, Madwoman "M" (New York), Saskia Laroo en Billy The Kid.
He has graced the podia of several important festivals: Koktebel Jazz, Capetown Jazz, North Sea Jazz, Montreux Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival and St. Petersburg Bass Day 2005.
